Graffiti Of the Great Salt Lake

I love graffiti! It appears in the most random places...One moment you're just walking along and *POOF* graffiti! :)  Although, I must admit I'd be rather peeved if someone graffitti'd my car or my house...(BUT if it was REALLY good, I might make an exception;) Some graffiti speaks to you showing both vision & beauty increasing entropy in the universe...truly rebel fine art in itself!

Here's a rather popular un-touristy tourist attraction along the Great Salt Lake.  I've had my eye on this place since I spotted it last fall & made a mental note to check it out when I was out west again.  SOOO, I stopped here twice.  The first time I was lucky enough to snap a few pics of a beautiful young couple during their engagement session photoshoot snuggled up in the doorway of that concrete fortress...Alas, I accidently washed the compact flash memory card these pics were on and it never recovered:( Indeed, brilliant move by me & one I DON'T recommend it! So, I made time to revisit yet again to capture this place which has eluded me on several occassions now...

There must be a good story here, a rich history as to what this building was for & how this box car was abandoned here...washed ashore on the Great Salt Lake??  Did ancient alien life forms leave it here?  Was there a forgotten, abandoned city that died off when the lake dried up?  What does SKAER it the mastermind race behind this scene?!? My mind can come up with endless possiblitities! :)  What do you think happened here?  How did these things come to be as they are?  I'd love to hear your take on it!  Be creative and embellish the tale (leave your comments below)...if you dare, that is...he he! ;)

Majestic Mountains

The regal mountain in all it's splendor!  Fall is in the air AND the whisp of the winter white which has not left us all that long this year...WOW!! I snapped this stunning scene whilst traveling from Denver to Steamboat Springs across the Continental Divide.  Beautiful, isn't it?  :)

Shades of Color On A Leaf...

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay. ~Robert Frost

Pretty, Prickly Little Thing That Stole My Heart...

This little guy captured my heart during my recent trip to the red dirt desertland of Moab!  A tad prickly but his heart is golden,! ;)

Can I live this day to the next on what has passed?  Perhaps...'tis such a glorious life we have the chance of...may we live in a life which exceeds that of our dreams...
